What it Do with the LUE this week is THANK YOU! I want to say thank you to all the wonderful folks that did their part to make our 3rd annual Feeding the Homeless Project, “PASSING OUT HOT MEALS”, a total success. This year we were able to feed over 400 homeless men and women in downtown San Bernardino. LUE Productions was happy to partner with Big AZ FUK, DRAC Entertainment, K.I.O., RIBS, and the Westside Story Newspaper.

We put the call out for donations of food items and socks, drivers, servers, and packers; the community answered. Individuals formed teams and made it happen. I want to thank the staff at the Norman F. Feldheym Central Library for allowing us to mobilize there and Ribs for allowing us to set up the shop. I loved the fact that we had several community organizations, small businesses, entertainment entities, and artists involved such as singing sensation, Bernice Celetes, Rapper Yawnie, Gospel Rapper Dunamis L1019, Rap Group Gwaap Fam, Rapper Dada Doe, United Nations of Consciousness (U.N.C, Black Collar Entertainment, Black Chamber of Commerce Inland Empire, Rigorous Grind Graphics, Unlimited Tax Service, and many more.

So this week What It Do With the LUE is Chords Enrichment Youth Program “Stop the violence 2 Hope for the City Conference”. On Saturday, November 14, I attended an awesome community event addressing the violence within the Inland Empire and our youth. Edwin Johnson, Founder and CEO of Chords Enrichment Youth Program, partnered with several community entities and community pillars to make this event meaningful and a success; and it was. The conference took place in the City of San Bernardino at Indian Springs High School. The day consisted of a Q&A session along with live performances, vendors, and good food. Parents and the youth had a chance to speak out about their personal experiences on the violence plaguing our community. It was good to see many in attendance.

Major shot out to Actor Darrin Dewitt Henson star from “Stop the Yard”; Terrance Stone of Young Visionaries; Gwen Rogers, newly appointed School Board Member for San Bernardino County Margret Hill, community activist; and Commissioner for First 5 San Bernardino. So many heavy hittas from the community were in attendance. I can’t name them all! Major shot out to some of my fellow entertainment buddies for their participation, Comedian Anthony Stone, Rapper Fitz Taylor, and Rapper Carl Fontaine. Also, they had the man himself, Chris Loos, radio personality for KQIE 104.7 FM. I can’t wait for the next one. I think if we keep it in the forefront, folks will have nothing else to do but get on board. More peace and love is needed. Let’s all do our part and take back our City. Until next week, L’z!

What It Do With The LUE: IE Hair Expo

skittlesThe IE Hair EXPO 2015 is WHAT IT DO WITH THE LUE! Umm, can you say major SUCCESS! I can’t say enough how much fun and how exciting the hair show was. This past Sunday, I had the pleasure of attending the 1st Annual IE Hair Expo hosted by Jacquetta Green of Cali All Stars Entertainment and Jessie Green of Joe Reed Records and all the sponsors that helped to make this happen in the IE. They knocked it out of the ball park. This was a much needed event, not just for the San Bernardino Community, but for the Cosmetology and Barber community as a whole.

I mean, you had just about every barbershop and hair shop from the IE in that thang representing to the fullest. You had Loved Ones, Artistically Yours, Cold Cutz, Anointed Braids, Star’s A Cut Above, Nappy Roots Salon, and Barber City to name a few. There was nonstop action! It was an all age event that included barber competitions, a fashion show, tutorials, food vendors, and community vendors such as Crown Wigs and The Plug, an urban fashion and graphic store; and Ribs. Local artists also lit up the stage with their talent.

The event was hosted by DJ Fredy Fresco of 99.1 KGGI. There was a special guest appearance by Doris Mosley, Mater Stylist educator, and produce of SIBE which stands for Spectrum International Beauty EXPO.

Sunday this was the place to be in the Inland Empire. I was especially happy that I was able to spend $20 bucks and receive $75.00 to $100.00 worth of hair product. Now that’s winning!! The day ended with a night of celebration featuring rapper Staxx Huges and Fitz Taylor and others. Congratulations to all the talented winners which included: Anointed Touch Braidery, they took 1st place in Most Original; Make Up artist Peaches of Straight To The Head; DJ Mysteree and Deevetva Foy, Director of ADMIN for LUE Productions; Jacquetta Greeen, event coordinator and CEO of Cali All Stars; and Mr. Wilson, owner of Crown Wigs in San Bernardino. Can’t wait for next year! L’zzz!

What It Do With the LUE: R. Kelly Packs Out San Manuel

R.Kelly2What it do with the LUE is three time Grammy award winner Robert Sylvester Kelly, known R.Kelly3to us as R. Kelly, smashed San Manuel on Thursday, October 8! Straight outta Chi Town, known as Chicago (Illinois), the singer, songwriter, record producer, rapper and former; let’s not forget professional basketball player, came out to the Inland Empire and left his mark. He showed us all why he is the King of R&B.

OMG, performing all his hits from his 12 play album such as “Your Body’s Callin'”,”Bump N’ Grind”, “I Believe I Can Fly”, and many more. The house was packed with standing room only. The ladies were out of control and let’s just say that the fellas were waiting patiently. LOL! I had so much fun, it took me way back. I love the fact that he wasn’t stuck up and how he engaged the crowd. He called several ladies from the audience to come on stage and chill while he performed, giving them an up and close performance. Now we all know how Kellez get down, don’t we according to history.

A lot of artists are only good studio singers and suck live; however, R. Kelly is the truth. This man made sure that the crowd knew what was up by singing long drawn out hook runs. His voice is butta’, so with that being said, “Can I get a Toot! Toot! Can I get a Beep! Beep!”. Until next time, and please support ya’ girl and like our face book page under LUE Productions. L’Z!

What It Do With The LUE: Justified Smith

Jus Smith2What up Inland Empire! What it do with the LUE this week, is the WINGS! In this industry I get a chance to meet many talented independent artists. A lot of them have similar stories and similar goals. I’d like to introduce the man himself, Justified Smith.

Justified Smith is one of the most prolific writers of our time. He has recorded and printed more than 6 independent albums over the last nine years and has reportedly moved thousands of units in the music game. Over his career he’s shared tracks with West Coast veterans E-40, Kokane, Spice 1, Bad Azz, Above the Law, and many other independent artists. Respected mostly for his passion to hustle and the heart to sell his own music out of the trunk, Justified is definitely an underground icon.

This talented artist is a jack of all trades. Not only is Mr. Smith a talented rap artist but a business owner, show host of “CALI LIVE”, CEO of “Justified” and “G.I.2.G Entertainment”, but most of all a loving and caring single father of two beautiful little girls and one handsome son. He goes hard for his family on a daily basis to ensure their provided for. You can always catch Mr. Smith doing good work within his community and beyond. His organization M.O.F.I.A. which stands for “Men Of Faith In Action”, puts on several events throughout the year blessing the folks with needed household products and materials. I can respect that all day long!

Follow the wings and please support Justified Smith. His music is available everywhere digital downloads are sold. For bookings please contact email Justfiedmuisc@net.com. Until next time l’zzz! WHAT IT DO WITH THE LUE: Demetra Coulter

Demetra Coulter

Demetra Coulter

This week WHAT IT DO WITH THE LUE is professionalism and Teamwork. I always talk about the Indie artists. I never talk about what goes into making or promoting the Indie Artists. Everyone whether they know it or not, needs a team in order to succeed at anything. This idea of being independent or a one man show is a joke. I mean even Jesus had a team according to the Bible. So, with that being said, I’d like to introduce you to a very special lady, Demetra Coulter, Public Relations Officer for LUE Productions and many more.

Demetra Coulter is a consultant with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Master of Arts in Public Relations, both from California Baptist University in Riverside, California. She is also the creator of “So What Am I Saying?”. She also helps people to develop a message, ranging from public speaking to physical appearances and teaches them how to deliver it to the right audience. From God given talents, education, and years of experience, Demetra has gained the wisdom and knowledge to help others by using common sense approaches. She is on a mission to help change the world by offering everyday advice and solutions for everyday situations.

In addition to the aforementioned accomplishments and attributes, she has worked with organizations including the NAACP Youth and College Division of Riverside California, the Campaign of Donovan Saadiq, Black Penny Press, Lue Productions and a whole host of other individuals. Her articles can be read at http://deecoulter.wix.com/so-what-am-i-saying. Currently, she is in the process of developing a YouTube channel with her 22-year-old daughter DeAnah that focuses on being fashionably frugal among other aspects. Stay tuned!

For your communications and public relations needs, she can be contacted at (951) 809-3848 or deecoulter@gmail.com. Make sure you check my girl out, she’s about that LIFE. L’zzzz!

What it Do With the LUE: Nipsey Hussle Performing in San Bernardino

1381256827_f0c08bbadab25c4f75c66d7d4a0af0bf

What it do I.E.! Nipsey Hussle will be live this Saturday, August 22! If you’re a lover of Hip Hop, Rap, and R&B then I got something special for you this Saturday. A little birdy told me that Nipsey Hussle the rapper will be live in the Dino at the Sports Center located at the National Orange Show Fair Grounds. Females are truly putting it down in the industry which is considered to be a male dominated market. Several years ago you wouldn’t have seen so many out front as you do now; not that we haven’t always been here. I wonder why that is. Well, in my opinion, it has a lot to with fear; fear that a woman can do just as well if not better than a male when it comes to making moves and getting things done.

I have to give props to Latisha Rushing, CEO of Black Collar Entertainment and Jacquetta Green, CEO of Cali All Stars Entertainment. These two talented ladies have linked up with Jessie Green, CEO of JoeRee Muzik to bring amazing entertainment to the I.E. If you haven’t had a chance to purchase your tickets you still can all links are located below. Last week it was Casey Veggies. Oh, and by the way, our LUE Productions artists GWAAP FAM will be performing live along with Staxx Hughes, Skater Dee, and many more talented artists. Hope to see you there.

Please follow LUE Productions on twitter and Instagram and like our face book page under LUE Productions. We appreciate the support and love. Until next week, Keep It Movin’ as we do. L’z!

For event tickets call (909) 252-2359 or (818)943-0544 . You can also purchase tickets online at milseries.eventbrite.com. The Sports Center is located at 930 S. Arrowhead GATE 10, in San Bernardino. Doors open at 9 p.m.

Professor Low

What it Do! What it Do! So ya’ girl is still riding the wave from our 2015 Indie Artist Award Show, “My Music, My MIC”. I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone that participated in helping to make the event a success; we look forward to next year’s.

This week I’d like to highlight artist, Professor Low, of Onmymama Records/OnmymamaTV. Straight out of the City of Rialto, music has always been a big part of Professor Low’s life.

When he was a little boy he used to love to dance and listen to music, he even played instruments. Taking up the trumpet in elementary school and playing the drums for the San Bernardino Pacesetters, his hunger for music took off. Professor Low wrote his first rhyme at the tender age of 11 and landed his first gig in the choir at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.      Influenced greatly by Hip Hop, he studied artists such as, Ice Cube, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Twista, Crucial Conflict, Nas, Outkast, KRS-one, Dr. Dre, Snoop, Teddy Riley, Timberland, Kris Kross, Fiend, Mystikal and a few others. Forming  his own style in high school, one day during lunch a friend of his named, A.N.T. introduced him to another  friend by the name of Aaron Block,  A.K.A. as Aaron Swift. They started rapping to each other in the lunch room and liked what they heard and just like that they formed a group called, Way 2 Much.

Never giving up on his music, Professor Low was able to record his first LP, entitled, “Mass Confussion”. Now Professor Low is the Vice President of Onmymamatv, and an Artist on Onmymama Records. Be on the lookout for his upcoming album titled, “My Chemistry Set”, due to release late November, with the follow up sequel titled, “Chemical Combustion”, set to release next year.
