LOS ANGELES, CA- The California African American Museum (CAAM) presents Target Sundays at CAAM-Caribbean Style. The annual Caribfest at CAAM takes place Sunday, September 1, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and will bring together Caribbean communities, their cultural contributions as well as influential celebrations. Co-hosted by Jeffrey Anderson-Gunter and actress Shauna Chin, Target Sunday’s at CAAM will feature live performances in dance, song and spoken word. Performers include the dance group Iseiri Isanigu Cultural Group, Jamaican poet Lyndall Andrew Rhoden, Reggae artist Errol Bonnick and many more. CAAM’s galleries will also be open to the public starting at 11 a.m. where visitors will be able to explore the works of Afro-Cuban artist Manuel Mendive, and Robert Chile’s photo exhibition of ‘AFRODESCENDIENTES’.
